Hang time

Nothing like a good hanging to end the year.

Boy we’ve come a long way with cell phone technology.

Fire night in Toronto

If you ever find yourself with not too much to do, check on Toronto Fire’s active calls website.

The following listed active incidents are dispatched from Toronto Fire Services Communication Centre. The contents are updated at five minute intervals from the CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) system.

Gmail is the best!

I am currently forwarding all my email to gmail - and it is catching all the spam that spamassassin was letting through.  So I have now gone from 30 spams a day getting through 0.

Chalk up another victory to the big G.

Cattle Warming

This cartoon illustrates the absurdity that is global warming.

Where will we get our hamburgers if we ban cows?

Abducted by father

It’s always amazing to me that a father, whose biggest risk to his child appears to be depression - can be the subject of an amber alert.

A 3-year-old girl who was apparently abducted by her father last night has been located by Toronto police in the Brampton area.

Gotta wonder what the mother said to the cops about him.

It’s no wonder he’s depressed.  He probably doesn’t get access to his kid.

2007 Sienna

The new Sienna is out, and looking real good.

Ford and GM may be getting out of the minivan business, but Toyota is putting a new, more powerful engine into its 2007 Sienna.

Unlike GM, it appears to have upgrades and improvements too!

I believe it

Guess I’m not the only one who thought my spam filter fell asleep in the last couple of months.

Hearing from a lot of new friends lately? You know, the ones that write “It’s me, Esmeralda,” and tip you off to an obscure stock that is “poised to explode” or a great deal on prescription drugs.

Hurricane schmuriccane

More evidence that the forecasters and doomsayers don’t have a clue what they’re talking about.

Even before it began six months ago, the 2006 hurricane season already had exceeded all previous ones in several categories: hype, anticipation, prognostication and, perhaps, even dread.
