TurncoatBarbie.com - Selling-out near you!
A well done website, complete with Boo-linda’s last speech.
After difficult reflection, ( my head really hurts now ) I reached a conclusion. I cannot exaggerate how hard this was for me ( almost as hard as first year University ). The political crisis affecting Canada is too risky and dangerous for blind partisanship. I watch and listen and feel that the interests of individuals or parties are often placed above the national interests ( Don’t worry I didn’t write that, in fact I don’t even know what that means ). The country must come first.

A Traitor is Born
An interesting article on the making of a modern day Judas.
Not surprising that David Petersen was right in the middle of it...remember the 1 billion dollar skydome? (Recently sold for $28 million)
Hypocrites unite
Nothing like a defection to awaken the Sun’s right wing. It’s about time.
Little rich dipstick
Overall, the reaction to the blond bimbo’s betrayal has been mostly negative.

Another Turncoat
Another blow to democracy: an angry woman spurned: Belinda turns tail and jumps to corruption.
Martin sat beside a smiling Belinda Stronach at a surprise news conference and introduced the rookie parliamentarian as his new human resources minister.
First a fag, now an appoarent power whore...boy, Liberals will take anyone.
It’s no great loss for the Conservatives - in fact, it’s a benefit.
Let’s see: she’s pro-gay, can’t commit to a husband, has public affairs (bad for children), and stands for nothing, except, apparently, grabbing power.
Can you imagine being a 10 year Liberal MPP, hoping for a cabinet post, and this turncoat pops in, all cozy with PM Dithers, and gets a plum post?
Loyalty is one of the most important parts of any relationship - she has none.
Why a leader would welcome a disloyal person into his arms is equally foolish.
Newmarket voters will do well to teach her a lesson next election.

Didn’t watch
Sorry, did someone say something last night?
One the other hand, if the PM’s begging for time and forgiveness falls on deaf ears, the Grits could soon be heading to the slaughterhouse.
The grovelling is, in a word, pathetic.

Sit in the big chair
Kinsella, who has a fairly good read on the Toronto liberal, has it right when he says PM Dithers just wanted to sit behind the steering wheel - with no apparent plan in mind.

Send your protest
This site seems to be a worthwhile few minutes of your protest time.
Every Canadian Taxpayer needs to speak up and demand an end to the corruption and misuse of our hard-earned tax dollars.
If the government falls
They whine that their initiatives will die if the government falls.
One casualty would be the budget implementation bill. That, said Fontana, would mean no money for social housing, no extra resource revenues for Newfoundland or Nova Scotia, and no spending to keep Canada’s commitments on the Kyoto Accord.
“A lot of things die on the order paper,” Fontana said. ``Kyoto, the agreement with Newfoundland and Nova Scotia (on resource revenues), the child-care (initiative).”
For the most part, I say: so what? The best thing we can do is get out of the Kyoto nonsense, which will kill the economy.

Bad press
A lovely montage...but can we ever get rid of the bums?
Bags of money in Italian restaurants, massive kickbacks...what will it take to wake up the lazy Ontario Liberal voter?

Double lung cancer
I’ve heard that Mulroney has the same lung cancer as Peter Jennings has.
Former prime minister Brian Mulroney, who recently underwent surgery for non-cancerous growths in his left lung, will be laid up for months, Sun Media has learned.
It’s amazing how more high profile ex-smokers haven’t been in the news with the same thing.
It will be sad if we lose these two great Canadians ... apparently these lung cancer victims have less than a year to live.

Travel like an American
Here’s a dually who will be flashing his stars and stripes before his maple leaf.
Be it resolved that…
... on further trips abroad, I shall no longer be travelling on my Canadian passport. I shall henceforth be travelling only as an American.
Sounds like a good idea to me...plus, my American passport is cheaper and lasts twice as long.

Canada’s Shame
Here’s more proof that we can’t do much for our own citizens.

Payback time
The idiots that run this country surely must see that the latest cattle delay ...
Canada’s beef producers were stunned today by yet another setback as an American judge agreed to postpone the opening of the U.S. border to live cattle due to continuing fears about mad cow disease.
… is related to our foolish refusal to support defending ourselves.
Canada’s new ambassador to the United States, Frank McKenna, said today that American officials are clearly upset about the missile defence decision and acknowledged it could cause strains in relations.

Mr. Dithers is a pro
Nobody can play both side of the fence better than a liberal.
PM says Canada won’t join controversial defence system
So, when a missile comes flying over Canada to Washington, DC, and it appears it’s off course and heading to Toronto, does the PM want a phone call so he can have a meeting to strike a committee to study it, after taking a few polls?

Sad state
Is Martin telling us that all he cares about and the country cares about is gay marriage? How can so few people control the government’s agenda, with such a lame issue?
Prime Minister Paul Martin threatened yesterday to take the country to the polls in his fight to defend same-sex marriage—a strike at Stephen Harper that the Conservative Leader called an attempt to cow Liberal MPs into voting with the government.
There must be a million other issues that Canadians care about more than that. I know I am against it, and most others could care less, so why can’t we drop it and ignore the screaming left?

Get rid of her
I like our royal traditions, but it really is time to get rid of her.
Turns out, Clarkson’s commitment was mainly to her own leisure.

T-Shirt King: Go Canadian
Saw this site on the news tonight. It’s amusing, if nothing else.
For $24.95 you get a complete disguise. A t-shirt with the Canadian flag and the saying “O Canada! (National Anthem), a patch for your luggage or backpack, a window sticker and a lapel pin. Plus - Free Report - How to Speak Canadian, Eh?!
Now when someone asks you about American politics, you can say, “I’m on vacation, I don’t want to talk aboot it.”

Real Leader Watch
Bob MacDonald knows a real leader when he sees one...especially when contrasted against one who isn’t.
What a contrast: The decisive, blunt-spoken and even humorous George W. Bush and the dithering, sweating, nervously laughing Paul Martin.

Bush in Halifax
I find it amazing (and pleasing) that a couple of radio stations suspended programming to carry Bush’s speech.
I found it equally interesting that it takes a US President to bring up relevant Canadian PM history. GWB sure has great speech writers.
Your Prime Minister, McKenzie King, gave this answer: “We cannot defend our country and save our homes and families by waiting for the enemy to attack us. To remain on the defensive is the surest way to bring the war to Canada. Of course, we should protect our coasts and strengthen our ports and cities against attack,” but the Prime Minister went on to say, “we must also go out and meet the enemy before he reaches our shores. We must defeat him before he attacks us, before our cities are laid to waste.” McKenzie King was correct then, and we must always remember the wisdom of his words today.
Overall, the visit went over quite well.

Welcome GWB
It’s worthy to note that since Ottawa’s Liberals are finally learning to be hospitable to the leader of the free world, the most memorable quote was from GWB himself.
Bush says his reception was warm and hospitable. And at a news conference, he offered his thanks to Canadians who waved to him—as he put it—“with all five fingers.”
Maybe if Canada stops hacking at the Bush administration they may get some of their issues solved.
Good to see the rent-a-crowds were essentially a bust.

Greatest Canadian?
This Greatest Canadian stunt over at the CBC is taking on foolish proportions. I’ve heard Trudeau will take the bogus prize, which of course is crazy, but understandable from the CBC.
This writer thinks Terry Fox should win. I admit he was a good guy, but greatest ever?
Decent people, but misguided. Terry Fox, whose footsteps still ring from St. John’s Harbour to Thunder Bay, is Canada’s greatest.
If enough people knew their history, the man that helped cobble together this country, John A., should win. Alas, history is hardly taught and rarely learned in Canada, so I’m sure he’ll be far down the list.

He’s got a spine
It appears the PM can take action - although I heard the real reason he booted her is for her anti-Liberal comments. Either way, she’s a liability who is doing no one any good. She’d better call Nunziatia for advice on what to do in the political wilderness.
Prime Minister Paul Martin dropped the hammer on outspoken MP Carolyn Parrish today and no one shed a tear over her ouster from the Liberal caucus.

Dump Carolyn
Surprise! There’s a bit of a campaign to get rid of the anti-American bigmouth. Her only positive trait is that she is honest, and the true face of the Liberal Party - which in itself is a sad commentary.
The vicious Canadian attack on the Bush administration arrived twofold. First came unabashed anti-American Liberal backbencher Carolyn Parrish, who said yesterday she was “dumbfounded” that Americans re-elected a “war-like man” on Tuesday. Parrish concluded the vote sending Bush back to the White House for a second term, must be a “reflection of the profound psychological damage of 9/11,” reports said.
Good to see
I’m grateful that the PM and the leader of the loyal opposition have spoken up against the Bloc-head who didn’t want to give flags to veterans. Only in Canada would we even allow a separatist party to exist in our Parliament.
OUTRAGED CANADIANS—including the prime minister—are flooding a small Quebec Legion hall with support and offers of flags after the town’s separatist MP refused to provide the veterans with a flag. Calling the Bloc Quebecois snub “beyond belief,” Paul Martin made a personal call to the legion yesterday.
