Canada Day Surprise
What an exciting surprise to see that Honeymoon Suite is still alive and kicking! While out on a Canada Day celebration, we found out that they were booked at the last minute. Despite being 25 years later, the boys looked and sounded great.
Apparently, they even have a new album coming out. Glad to see the boys again. If you’re feeling nostalgic, look them up and see if you can catch them out on tour.

She’s no whiner
Rarely do I ever comment on the music I listen to, but after all the negative press about Amy Winehouse
Things haven’t been the same since I listened.
She deserved every Grammy she won. I cannot believe she’s written most of her album herself, at her young age.
Calling her a musical genius may be an understatement. Can you imagine if Ray Charles were alive and could duet with her? Both artists hit me the same way.

Bewitched is bedazzling
More proof that I was born 20 years too late...I have recently started watching Bewitched, which for all intents and purposes, was probably one of the best TV series ever produced.
Most if it seems to be out on DVD now, and I highly recommend it over today’s TV offerings.

Listening to 680 news on the radio, I head about this foundation banning sad books.
Quickly, I found this link, which pointed out that this was satire.

Tammy Faye Messner dies
I’m not sure why this is so upsetting to me...but it is.
Tammy Faye Messner, the former televangelist and Christian singer who battled drug addiction and later inoperable cancer, died Friday morning, CNN’s Larry King said Saturday night. He said the family had asked him to make the delayed announcement.

She was 65.

I don’t know who does more damage to the world: lawyers or activists.

More should be done to bring first world wealth to the third world, before they come and overrun the first world, and we all have nothing.
Madonna, for all her faults, is doing good. Damn the do-gooders who would scuttle her!

Iceberg sucks
Sorry, I’ve tried to listen to Iceberg radio. The PD doesn’t know what she’s doing. If you’re going to play all new stuff, and rarely have any old stuff we learned to like by being forcefed it for years, than you’ll never be able to count me in your audience.
The invisible airwaves of Iceberg Radio on Sirius Canada crackle with the sounds of everyone from Stompin’ Tom, Rush and Bryan Adams to Hot Hot Heat, Bedouin Soundclash and Bif Naked.
Here’s another idea: how about a good disc jockey or 3 to hold our hands through some of this crap? As schticky as he is, I’m starting to like Cousin Brucie on Sirius 6.
