Surviving
Right now, I am trying to keep my family watered and fed, as we have returned to medieval times in Toronto.
No power in my neck of the woods beside Canada’s #2 nuclear power plant.
Will be back from the other side of the city, where they have a bit of power.
I knew I should have bought that generator last year. I knew I should have replaced my laptop’s battery last year.
Damn.

What a blog is…
If you are a blogger and have to explain to your friends what one is, Jim Currie has a link:
A weblogger surveys the vast world of the web and carefully arranges what’s out there, presenting it in a new form. ... What makes blogs work so well is that it’s a person, not a computer, doing the link picking, a person with specific taste that we appreciate.

Spam attack
American RealPolitik lifted a great cartoon from somewhere that really illustrates what is becoming quite the epidemic. I use email filters to send the junk right to my garbage can. It seems 90% of my mail is junk these days.

Sporadic Entries
My job has shifted back onto the road, so until I get a Sierra 750 wireless aircard for my laptop, entries will be limited.
Anyone have any experience with the above card?

Google is #1
I always thought Google was the most important website on the www.
We all live in a Google submarine. The Google search engine is, arguably, the most important site on the Internet. It is an inescapable fact of Internet life.

Bloody Hell!
Istop.com, my webhost, crashed.
You can see they don’t have a backup system, and you can also see I didn’t either.
