Amanda Seyfried can really sing

This girl has the voice of an angel.  Who knew she was one of those actresses that didn’t actually think she could sing!

Mike from Scarboro

I always liked Mike Meyers...and his tributes to his home town.

Scarborough’s Mike Myers packs his movies with messages for home

If I don’t see this movie, I will at least rent it.  Go Mike!

Thirteen, the movie

If you are a parent, and if you have a daughter, the movie Thirteen is a must see.

“Beautifully disturbing” is the best review byline I’ve seen.  Buy or rent it today!

Read some reviews to see what I mean.

Styx DVD

Just finished watching Dennis Deyoung - The Symphonic Rock Music Of Styx, and have to tell you this is one of the best produced concert DVDs out there.  The energy coming from DDY is amazing, and his voice has never sounded better.

Go get this DVD if you have any interest in Styx music.

Black IS Beautiful

I just finished watching the best movie ever to come out of India, called Black ($US orders)

It’s a story already told, but add gorgeous cinematography, gorgeous Rani Mukherjee , and a haunting, amazing soundtrack, and you have a true masterpiece.

Go out and rent the movie now.  If you can’t find it, join Zip.ca, and rent it from there.

One for the fathers

It’s so refreshing in this day of feminazism and courts excluding fathers to see the movie Evelyn (Buy here) ($US orders)

With a gentle tug at the heartstrings, Evelyn tells the true story of an imperfect father whose devotion brought much-needed change to rigid Irish law.

Manly, yes, but I like it too (remember the Irish Spring soap commercials?).
