Mirabel Airport to become amusement park

Why does this latest idea for Mirabel sound like a dumb idea?

Montreal’s large Mirabel Airport, recently closed to all passenger traffic, is to be turned into a giant amusement park on the themes of water and space,

Returning it to the farmers makes more sense.

As long as Quebec can’t make up its mind, Montreal will never be the city it may have been when Mirabel was created.
