What a wailer
Just finished listening to one of the best songs of all time, The Great Gig in the Sky, by one of the greatest bands of all times, Pink Floyd.
I got curious as to who the female vocalist was - because the performance sends chills down my spine every time.
Once more, the www comes to the rescue...its powers of research are phenomenal.
Amazingly, it’s only been about a month, but the vocalist, Clare Torry, was finally fairly compensated.
This week, the High Court judged on the side of Ms Torry, and have awarded her a half-share on copyright ownership of the song. The amount of the out-of-court settlement has not been disclosed, prompting much speculation as to the amount.
